  14. Announcing IMG CD-ROM Magazine!

Inside Mac Games, the first digital monthly magazine devoted to Macintosh entertainment software, is proud to announce that it will begin publishing Inside Mac Games on a monthly CD-ROM starting with the October issue. The vast storage capabilities of a CD-ROM will allow IMG to include more gaming sneak previews, reviews, and articles on each CD. In addition, the magazine will be expanded to include not only game reviews, but reviews of educational, shareware, and general entertainment titles. Articles within the magazine will also include a lot more screen shots, slide shows, QT movies embedded in the reviews, and the ability to launch demos (for example, of games reviewed).

But that's not all! The CD-ROM version will be filled each month with new commercial game demos, exciting new shareware games, bug fixes, patchers, cheater programs, walkthru's, FAQ's, an extensive publisher listing, a catalog of past reviews, a database of hints and tips, special game offers, and more. The IMG CD-ROM will be your only complete source for gaming information news and information, demos, shareware, and more.

Current IMG subscribers can upgrade their subscription for $25 ($35 for current US e-mail subscribers or international disk subscribers) ($55 for e-mail subscribers outside the US). By upgrading your subscription, your current subscription will be extended by 5 issues (from the month your regular IMG subscription ends) and you will be switched to the CD-ROM version starting with the October issue. After September 15th, subscribers can upgrade their disk or e-mail subscription, but their subscription will NOT be extended by 5 issues, simply converted.
